Get the Tools You Need to Become a Successful Student!
The whole of life, from the moment you are born to the moment you die, is a process of learning".

LEARN HOW TO LEARN YOUR WAY
For some people, standard tasks that look easy for others can be confusing. This might happen because they learn differently and can't make connections the same way other people do. These same people might do really well if they were taught differently, but if they make repeated efforts in a way that doesn't work for them it's likely they will become discouraged and give up.
So what is it that causes some people to struggle with tasks that seem easy for most people? Well the answer is . . . . . a lot of things. People learn in different ways. Some people learn by association, that is by making a connection to something that is meaningful to them, some learn by seeing, some learn by hearing and some learn by doing. Different teaching methods work for different learners. When information is presented in a way that is meaningful, it can help people to make a connection in their minds. When we "get it" that we want to d improvemake success possible.
Learning curves are another barrier to learning. Everyone has to push through learning curves, but when someone experiences repeated disappointments they might tend to believe that things are easier for other people. In reality we can't possibly know what something is like for someone else. So when it comes to thinking that you'll never "get it" don't give up! Don't give up on the whole idea!Instead, throw out what hasn't worked for you in the past and try new ways to learn until you find what works for you!

WHO SAYS YOUR NOT A GOOD STUDENT?
Sometimes you have to learn how to learn. It's a misconception to believe that doing something well just comes naturally to others. Most people have to work at something before they become good at it. True, there are times when something is easier for someone else, but that isn't usually the case and there are a lots of reasons why one person might not have to work as hard as another. Establishing good habits and routines can go along way in increasing the likelihood of success. Being prepared can eliminate a lot of problems and also lead to better results. Each little success helps to build confidence and improve self esteem, which are underlying supports that we aren't always aware of.

STRESS AND THE EFFECT ON LEARNING
Under repeated stress, an individual’s stress hormones are continuously activated, keeping the person in a constant state of wariness and making it hard to concentrate or make good decisions. Malfunctions in this stress system can result in chronic depression. But brain researchers are currently looking at ways to prevent or even reverse such disruptions.
Under repeated stress, an individual’s stress hormones are continuously activated, keeping the person in a constant state of wariness and making it hard to concentrate or make good decisions. Self-talk is a good way to calm yourself down when you feel stress creeping up. Ask yourself if there are other ways that you could see the stressful situation. Try to bring yourself above an imaginary stress line by finding things about the situation that helps you to see things in a better way.
